Does size matter? You bet it does! Adult mattresses come in five different sizes:
Twin (38″ x 75″): Twin mattresses are only large enough for shorter single sleepers, making them ideal for children and pint-sized lifelong virgins.
Full (53″ x 75″): Like its cousin, the Twin, a Full-size mattress is recommended only for single sleepers due to its limited dimensions.
Queen (60″ x 80″): More compact than King-size models, Queen-size mattresses are ideal for smaller bedrooms or single sleepers who crave an extra bit of leg room.
King (76″ x 80″): Comfortable and spacious, King-size mattresses are perfect for couples who want extra sleeping space.
California King (72″ x 84″): Although four inches narrower than a traditional King-size mattress, this West Coast dandy is four inches longer, making it an ideal solution for taller sleepers.
Prices range greatly from about $300 to over $5,000 for a Queen set, but given that you spend one-third of your life in bed, a mattress isn’t the sort of thing you want to cheap out on.
